Deconstruction of Avenged Sevenfold Cd Cover

Avenged Sevenfold’s Cd cover consists of an evil skeleton with a sword riding a golden horse. It is riding out into the purple sky with a ring of fire around it lighting up the city behind. The album cover has dark colours like purple, red and black. These dark colours symbolise the evilness and dark meaning behind the bands songs. The skeleton is screaming which again reinforces the evil and chaos that the band wants their audience to see them as. The sword is made into 3D and is coming out of the CD cover which makes it threatening for the audience and will attract them to the cover. The band have used a graphic instead of themselves and this could be to create an enigma for the audience of what they look like.

The text of the bands name is very pointy which makes it very abrupt, the contrast to a soft gentle band. The colour of the text is light grey making it look like it’s silver. The text is not very neat and looks rough which emphasises the band’s personality of not being nice and gentle but mean and angry.
